Pallavi

AnandESvarENa saMrakshitO(a)haM

(I’m protected by Anandeshwara)

cidAnanda rUpO(a)smi brahmAnanda rUpO(a)smi
(who is the consciousness and infinite bliss, which is my Real nature)

anupallavi

jnAna pradAna guru guha rUpa- cidAnanda nAtha sva-rUpa prakASEna
(He) the one who takes the form of Guruguha (giver of enlightenment), who shines in the form of Chidananda-natha (Lord of the Nature of Pure Consciousness)

caraNam

avayava trayAtItEna nityEna
(I am) Imperishable Eternal beyond the Three (Action, Speech, Thought)

avasthA traya sAkshiNA (a)tiSuddhEna
(I am) beyond Waking, Dream, DeepSleep, as Pure Witness (Consciousness)

bhava panca kOSa vyatiriktEna buddhEna
(I am) the wise One beyond Pancha Kosha (Anna, Prana, Mano, VijnAna, Ananda) i.e. As Pure Consciousness ~ Atman - Self.

siva saccidAnanda rUpENa muktEna
(I am) Ever Free, Auspicious Sat-Chit-Ananda (i.e. Brahma – Svarupa Lakshana)

(madhyama kAla sAhityam)

SravaNa manana nididhyAsana samAdhi nishThA
(I am) one who ever abides in One’s True Self (samAdhi nishThA) on account of SravaNa (Listening with Sraddha) Manana (consistent contemplation on one's Svarupam, as taught by sampradhaaya, with doubts melting away) Nididhyasana (The practice of dissolving one’s mind in One’s Self - i.e. rejecting the sense of otherness, and accepting Self as pure non dual Awareness-ISness-unlimitedness)

aparOkshAnubhava sva-mAtrAvaSEshita
(I am) that only Reality which remains when all else has been sublated by Immediate Experience of Non Dual Brahman (aparOkshAnubhava)

Notes: How does all else become sublated ? Does this duality vanish then ? No - what is meant here is duality of names and forms, cease to appear as if they have separate existence apart from the Self - which is one non dual consciousness - ekameva adviteeyam.

prakASamAna mahESvarENa
(I am) the resplendent great Lord.

What does this Kriti teach us ?

It teaches us Brahma Vidya !! Bhakti and JnAna are not margams for Jeevan Muktas like Sri Deekshitar Swaami, Sri Thiagaraja Swaami. JnAnam and Bhakti  (i.e. Prema) are thier very svarupam - Real Self/Nature.

Atma Prema Svarupam (Naaradha.Bh.Sutras),
Satyam JnAnam Anantam (Tai Up)
Asti Bhati Priyam (Drik Drishya Viveka)

We often think of Love as a reaction, under favorable stimuli, conditions, environment, people etc... but such a Love that is dependent on "external factors" are source of disappointment eventually !!

Instead if Love is recognized as one's essential nature - my Self - as Vedas teach us - our ability to radiate Love, will be unconditional and our life and those around us will be a "mart of joy".

This Advaita Prema Swarupam is non different than the consciousness that pulsates within. This Consciousness or PrajnAnam or Chaithanyam is referred to as One's Svarupam or Ishwara Svarupam by Sri Deekshitar in several kritis.

A limited selection of "phrases that indicate our svarupam as chaithanyam" is listed below for our joyful reflection.

Further Discussion

This discussion here and how Sri Deeksitar and Sri Thyagaraja Swaami sing, despite being established in JnAna Nista ~ is the mystery to those who think Bhakti can only exist in Bheda Baavam

abhayAmbikAyAH anyaM na jAnE
ajnAna dhmAnE aparOksha jnAnE

I do not know (of) any other than Abhayamba, for blowing away ignorance, and (for recognizing the every present) aprokshaanubhuti.

In the Kriti - Sri Kamalaambikaayaah Param - Raga Bhairavi

abhEda nitya Suddha buddha mukta saccidAnanda-maya paramAdvaita sphUrtEH !!!

This line shows - the AmbaaL is the inspirer of the Brahma JnAna within !! - Our Atman, Our Guru, Our Ishvaree !

in the same kriti.....

anAdi mAyA-avidyA kArya kAraNa vinOda-karaNa paTu-tara kaTAksha vIkshaNyAH

- the one whose glance is very adept at dispelling primal delusion and ignorance, and (the  resultant duality of) cause and effect

This shows that AmbaaL's guru kataksham removes Ignorance.... (Advaita Siddhantam)

Finally: In dikshitar Kriti - Sri Vanchanatham - Raga Surutti, you find : -

jIva-ISa-jagat-bhEda-apahaM
jIvan-mukti vidEha muktidam

What else is left unsaid w.r.t Advaita Siddhantam by Sri Deekshitar ? Who else do we need to turn to - for one in whom JnAna and Bhakti are one and same....

Its very much like Sadasiva Brahmendrar Kriti.... simple, direct and only due to Isvara Sankalpam !!
