Pratyabhijñā in mānasollāsa
rāhugrastadivākarendusad ṛ śo māyāsamācchādanāt sanmātra ḥ kara ṇ opasa ṃ hara ṇ ato yo'bhūtsuṣupta ḥ pumān । prāgasvāpsamiti prabodhasamaye ya ḥ pratyabhijñā yate tasmai śrīgurumūrtaye nama ida ṃ śrī dakṣi ṇ āmūrtaye ॥ Just as the sun or moon appears to be swallowed by Rāhu due to an eclipse (though it never truly is), so too the pure consciousness (sanmātra ḥ ) appears obscured by ignorance in deep sleep, when the instruments of perception are withdrawn. Upon waking, one recognizes, ‘I slept’, thus realizing that the same consciousness persisted even in sleep.
